From Holistic Healing to Brand Building: How TPM’S Talent & Social Director Stefanie Jung Leads With Heart (and Strategy)
Two Palm Media’s very own Talent & Social Director Stefanie Jung knows the internet isn’t just about noise – it’s about meaning. With a background that spans holistic health and high-performing marketing, she’s spent her career helping brands show up with purpose (and personality). Whether launching WHOOP in Australia or leading creator trips through New Zealand, she’s all about making impact feel human. We spoke to her about sandbox leadership, content that cuts through and why emotions aren’t optional – they’re powerful.
Explain your job as if you’re talking to a 10-year-old.
Okay, imagine your favourite toy wants to become super popular and have lots of friends. My job is to help that toy get noticed in the playground (aka the internet). I also help them become besties with the right influencers – kind of like finding the perfect person to show off your toy at recess. But it’s not just about pretty videos – I also make sure all the people working on this big group project are playing nicely in the sandbox. I lead the charge on cross-functional collaboration, motivating teams, inspiring creative thinking, and constantly challenging the status quo to bring out the best in everyone.
What was your biggest failure/mistake and how did you turn it into a positive?
As a teenager and in my early twenties, I had a very tumultuous relationship with food. Through a whole lot of unlearning and healing, I came out the other side and turned that experience into something meaningful. I became a Holistic Health Coach and had the privilege of helping women mend their relationships with food and their bodies through an Intuitive Eating approach centred on unlearning toxic diet culture and reconnecting with the inner wisdom of their bodies. What did that chapter teach me? That emotions don’t disappear just because you ignore them (annoying, right?). And that the magic really happens when you get real with people. Vulnerability isn’t weakness – it’s connection. And that lesson is one I now bring into every part of my life, especially work. Whether it’s a client call or a team brainstorm, I believe showing up as your true self and inspiring others to do the same is the ultimate power move.
What’s been your top career highlight?
I’m values-first in everything I do, so my favourite career moments always revolve around doing work that inspires people to become the best version of themselves. Think: relaunching the wearable fitness tracker WHOOP into the Aussie market with a WHOOP House event educating guests on the power of recovery and performance tracking; taking creators on a GoPro trip through New Zealand to get active in nature; or relaunching Wanderlust yoga events in Australia and watching hundreds of people exhale in sync. These moments – where passion and profession collide – are what I get most excited about.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I’ve lived in Germany, Switzerland, France, the US, UAE, and the UK – and I speak three languages. But fun fact: before I moved to Australia, I’d never lived anywhere longer than three years consecutively. Now I’ve been in Australia almost a decade – a true testament to how much I love it here.
What’s your most unpopular opinion?
Posting every day won’t fix bad content. Consistency matters, but without value, it’s just noise. If your content doesn’t educate, entertain, inspire, or solve a problem, it’s not pulling its weight – no matter how often you post. Ask yourself “So what?” before hitting publish. If the answer isn’t clear, your audience won’t care either. Quality and relevance will always outperform empty frequency.
